Workspaces designed around your wellbeing

A healthy foundation

We believe that providing a healthy workplace starts with the space but is also about providing the right amenities to promote wellbeing. We begin with good natural light and air quality, as well as workspaces that suit your need to work individually or collaborate in groups. We make sure there are healthy choices for snacks and refreshments, and access to exercise options whether at the gym or by encouraging cycling to work.

Encouraging collaboration

A productive and happy workplace needs to foster creativity and bring people together for collaboration and for social exchanges. Our workspaces promote this behaviour while our event space is designed for our occupiers to come together as a community.

The auditorium at Making it Work

Making it Work members have access to our Pearse Street auditorium which is available for hosting larger company meetings as well as community events. It is a 50 person bleacher-style auditorium, fully furnished with the latest audio visual equipment and tech support. Availability is based on hourly, half daily or daily rates.

Keep in shape at The Workshop gym

Making it Work customers have access to discounted membership of the Workshop gym with crossfit, personal training and five-star changing facilities. A programme of classes is on offer to meet all your needs.

Sustainability

In our design and operations, we are guided by four sustainability principles that ensure we are considering the environmental and social outcomes of our activities and your workspace.

Working Environment

All our workspaces are managed for optimal comfort through efficient ventilation systems with air quality sensors. Each location has access to excellent end-of-trip facilities, supporting active travel and wellbeing in the workplace.

Placemaking

Making it Work workspaces span across our Docklands and St. Stephen’s Green neighbourhoods, where we have created enhanced public spaces for our customers to enjoy and connect with nature

Responsible delivery and operation

Our Making it Work workspaces are delivered with low carbon fixtures and furnishings, including LED lights, carbon neutral carpet tiles and low-flow sanitaryware. We undertake life cycle assessments for all our workspaces, which helps us to measure and reduce carbon in our design, delivery and operation.

Building energy

All our spaces are managed to ensure operational efficiencies in utilities management, with smart metering and building management expertise to optimise building performance. All Making it Work workspaces are part of our target to operate at net zero carbon by 2030.

Using art to enhance our buildings

Making it Work is a creative place and we use the fabric of our buildings to provide inspiration for our occupiers. Across our workspaces, you will find original art commissioned by IPUT from Irish artists, both championing local talent and fostering creativity. We commissioned Shane O’Driscoll to create a visual language that can be seen across our Making it Work spaces.

Join the community and stay connected with the Making it Work app

With the Making it Work app, everyone in the building can stay informed about the amenities, experiences and people that help deliver the unique Making it Work experience.
